Christina Christou

Christina Christou was born in 1976 in Cyprus and has lived in Athens since the age of seven. She graduated from Campion International School with an A level in Art (Grade A).
She studied Fashion Design and Marketing at Central Saint Martins in London (1995–2000), where she also completed a Foundation Course.
In 2003, she was among the artists selected to represent Greece at the 11th Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean.
She has held five solo exhibitions (one of which was at Gallery K Cyprus in 2007) and has participated in group exhibitions, including at the Benaki Museum (2005). Since 2020, she has been a member of Art Next Level, alongside artists from around the world. In 2021, she took part in the group online exhibition Opening, themed around reopening after the pandemic lockdown.
Her works can be found in private collections, bank and insurance company collections, and within the Cultural Services of the Republic of Cyprus.
In 2023, she presented her work at the café of the Archaeological Museum of Chania, focusing on timeless themes of dancers and swimmers, from antiquity to the present day.
In December 2023, her solo exhibition titled Circular Emotions was successfully held at the Tsichritzis Visual Arts Foundation in Kifisia.
Christina is the mother of two children. She has illustrated children’s books and volunteers her artistic services whenever asked (e.g., to the ELPIDA association, a commemorative album about the occupied territories in Cyprus, etc.).

Χριστίνα Χρίστου

Η Xριστίνα Xρίστου γεννήθηκε το 1976 στην Kύπρο και από την ηλικία των επτά ετών ζει στην Aθήνα. Αποφοίτησε από το Campion International School με art A level (A).
Έχει σπουδάσει Fashion Design and Marketing στο Central Saint Martins του Λονδίνου (1995-2000) όπου έκανε και foundation Course.
Ήταν ανάμεσα στους καλλιτέχνες που επιλέχθηκαν να εκπροσωπήσουν την Ελλάδα στην 11η Μπιενάλε Νέων Δημιουργών Ευρώπης και Μεσογείου το 2003.
Έχει πραγματοποιήσει πέντε ατομικές εκθέσεις (μία εκ των οποίων στην Gallery K Cyprus το 2007) και έχει λάβει μέρος σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του Μουσείου Μπενάκη (2005).
Από το 2020 είναι μέλος της Art Next Level με καλλιτέχνες από όλο τον κόσμο. Το 2021 έλαβε μέρος στην ομαδική online έκθεση Opening με θέμα το άνοιγμα μετά τον εγκλεισμό της πανδημίας.
Έργα της υπάρχουν σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές, σε συλλογές Τραπεζών και Ασφαλιστικών Εταιριών και στις Πολιτιστικές Υπηρεσίες της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου.
Μέσα στο 2023 παρουσίασε έργα της στο καφέ του αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Χανιών, με θεματολογία χορευτές και κολυμβητές, θέματα διαχρονικά από την αρχαιότητα μέχρι σήμερα. Τον Δεκέμβριο του 2023 πραγματοποιήθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία ατομική της έκθεση με τίτλο Circular Emotions στο Ίδρυμα Εικαστικών Τεχνών Τσιχριντζή στην Κηφισιά.
Η Χριστίνα είναι μητέρα δύο παιδιών. Έχει εικονογραφήσει παιδικά βιβλία και προσφέρει εθελοντικά τις καλλιτεχνικές της υπηρεσίες όποτε της ζητηθεί (π.χ. σύλλογος ΕΛΠΙΔΑ, λεύκωμα για τα Κατεχόμενα στην Κύπρο κ.α.).
